Cranberry Sauce Using Dried Cranberries

  • 2 cups of dried cranberries

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice



  1. In a deep pan, boil dried cranberries in water.

  2. Lower the heat for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  3. Add lemon juice and sugar. Mix well.

  4. Cover and let simmer for 5-8 minutes or until all the water is evaporated.

  5. Allow this mixture to cool down.

  6. Blend it. (While blending, add 4-5 tablespoons of water so that it blends easily)

  7. Add the blended mixture into a pan.

  8. On a low flame, cook this mixture until all the moisture evaporates.

  9. Homemade instant cranberry jam / thick cranberry sauce is ready!
