Pastry Pinwheels

  • 2 pie crusts homemade or refrigerated

  • butter (softened at room temperature)

  • white sugar

  • ground cinnamon


  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray or cover it with non-stick aluminum foil or parchment paper.

  2. Roll (or unroll if refrigerated and pre-made) into a rectangle.

  3. Spread butter evenly over pie crusts.

  4. Sprinkle white sugar evenly over each pie crust.

  5. Sprinkle cinnamon evenly over the pie crusts.

  6. Roll tightly into a log.

  7. Slice into 1/2-inch slices and lay onto a prepared baking sheet. Can put next to each other or separate. Sprinkle any extra cinnamon and sugar mix for a sweeter finish.

  8. Bake in an oven at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until crust is lightly brown and sugar has started to caramelize.

  9. Remove from the oven. Let them cool for 5 minutes.
